Mariana joined Nicholson y Cano in August 1992. She has specialized in Commercial Law, with a particular focus on corporate and contractual law, including business acquisitions, shareholder agreement negotiations, corporate reorganizations in various forms (mergers, spin-offs, transformations, and liquidations), transfers of business assets or goodwill, structuring foreign investments in the country, corporate conflicts, advising on public offering regulations, and, in general, on all ordinary corporate matters related to the life of a company.
Mariana worked as Foreign Associate at Morrison & Foerster, San Francisco and Washington DC (USA)(1994).
Education
She graduated as a lawyer from the Faculty of Law and Political Science at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina “Santa María de los Buenos Aires,” receiving a Diploma of Honor in 1989 and the “Editorial El Derecho” Award (1989). Subsequently, she completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, USA, in 1994.
She also completed a course on Legal Aspects of International Business and Banking at New York University in 1991, and that same year, she took a Corporate Law course and a Banking Law Seminar at the Buenos Aires Law School, FORES.
In 1992, she continued her training in Legal Aspects of International Business at the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina. In 2007, she participated in a Seminar on Legal Aspects of Corporate Finance (CEDEF).
