Profile

Juan Carlos joined Nicholson y Cano in 1984. He began his professional career defending the interests of numerous insurance companies in the field of Workplace Accidents. Throughout his extensive career, he has gained broad experience in Labor Law, advising both national and international companies in various sectors of productive and service activities, including Financial, Banking, Insurance, Oil, Agriculture, Mining, Tobacco, Energy, Entertainment, Hygiene Products, Workers’ Compensation (ART), and Services, among others. He also represents these companies administratively and judicially in various individual labor disputes.

In the field of Collective Labor Law, he has represented business associations and major companies in resolving conflicts and negotiating collective bargaining agreements with federations and/or labor unions across various industries.

His practice also includes advising and representing insurance companies on matters related to their activity. He specialized in managing third-party and policyholder claims for companies at all stages (extrajudicial, mediation, and litigation) in areas such as civil liability, general risks (non-motor), individual and group life insurance, personal accidents, and workplace accidents.

He is a member of the Public Bar Association of the Federal Capital and the Bar Association of the Province of Buenos Aires (San Isidro Judicial Department).

He has been a member of the Labor Department of the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and the Social Policy Committee of the Argentine Industrial Union (representing the Argentine Sugar Association).

Education

​He graduated as a lawyer in 1980 from the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina “Santa María de los Buenos Aires.”

He has been recognized by the international publication Chambers & Partners as a “Leading Individual” in the area of Insurance and as a “Leading Partner” in the area of Labor.
